Goodland Gaming Guild ("G3") is an organization dedicated to playing, running, and teaching games in all their forms. G3 has an emphasis and specialization in tabletop role-playing games ("TTRPGs"). G3 is run by a team of staff and volunteers, who facilitate events for our community of players, game masters, and attendees of all kinds.
G3 was founded by Albert Naon (he/him) and Pat Kelly (they/them) in Milwaukee Wisconsin in 2026. Albert and Pat have been playing games of all kinds their whole lives, and TTRPGs in particular for over a decade. They decided to build Goodland Gaming Guild due to their shared commitment to the transformative power of games in building community, fostering inclusivity and introspection, and having fun with friends.
More than just them two, they are assisted on a daily basis by the rest of the G3 team that help to bring these events to life. The team includes friends, family, and recurring attendees that make each event possible. Goodland Gaming Guild would not be able to exist without their continued help and support.Â
Goodland Gaming Guild is currently focused on hosting RPG Nights, which occur twice a month. We have been successfully running this event since January of 2026. We also host seminars, online discussions, and various social gatherings.
Attending our events means sharing space with others who love discovering new games, supporting one another, and building something bigger than a single game session. It's a place to meet people, find inspiration, and be part of a collaborative gaming TTRPG culture.
Community: before all else, we are dedicated to the creation, fostering, and maintenance of local communities. We strongly believe in the importance of people of all walks of life being able to come together and learn from one another through shared activities.
Inclusivity: we emphasize treating one another with kindness, courtesy, and respect. We are opposed to personal attacks and harassment in all their forms.
Introspection: we believe in the importance of learning from others, and in using make-believe to deepen our understanding of ourselves and the world. "Role-play" in particular is valued by us for its ability to introduce people to new ideas and ways of thinking.
Fun: we value providing enjoyable experiences for our attendees. Humor and having fun are in and of themselves important goals that we strive for as an organization.
